The Holidays at Little Arrow Outdoor Resort

The holidays are a time to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the simple moments that matter most. At Little Arrow Outdoor Resort in Townsend, Tennessee, the season unfolds in its own peaceful way. The mountain air turns crisp, lights begin to glow, and guests settle into cozy cabins surrounded by the quiet beauty of the Smokies.

Campsgiving in the Smoky Mountains

Each November, we continue a cherished tradition that began years ago with our Tremont Campground predecessors: a gratitude filled Campsgiving meal for our campers and glampers. Around lunchtime on Thanksgiving Day, our team and guests gather under the new Pavilion to share a family style feast. Little Arrow provides the turkey, dressing, and drinks, while guests bring their favorite side dishes. Surrounded by mountain views, laughter, and stories, Campsgiving is a time to give thanks for friendship, good food, and the shared joy of being together in the Smokies.

Shop Local on Small Business Saturday

After Thanksgiving, Small Business Saturday is the perfect opportunity to explore the creativity and craftsmanship of the Smokies. Townsend is home to many local makers, artisans, and small shops that offer unique gifts and regional products. Stop by our resort gift shop for locally made items that tell a story and capture the spirit of the mountains. Supporting small businesses helps preserve the local charm that makes this corner of East Tennessee so special.

Christmas in Townsend, Tennessee

When December arrives, the Smoky Mountains feel like something out of a storybook. Lights glow across the resort, and the peaceful rhythm of nature creates a calm backdrop for the holidays. Guests can explore nearby Christmas events in Townsend and Gatlinburg, from mountain markets to light festivals and winter hikes. Back at Little Arrow, evenings are best spent by the fire or inside a warm cabin, surrounded by family, friends, and the steady quiet of the mountains.

Come see Santa and get a family picture at the Lookout Pavilion on Saturday, December 13 and 20 from 9 to 11 a.m. Don’t forget to tell him what’s on your list this year! Maybe it’s another stay with us?

A Fresh Start for the New Year

As the year winds down, the Smokies offer space to reflect and recharge. New Year’s Eve at Little Arrow is always a night to remember, filled with laughter, music, and good company. Join us for our annual celebration as we count down to midnight together and welcome a brand new year in the heart of the mountains.

From Campsgiving to New Year’s Day, Little Arrow Outdoor Resort offers a mountain retreat that blends comfort, connection, and the quiet magic of the Smokies. Whether you are planning a family trip, a couples getaway, or a winter adventure with friends, this season is the perfect time to experience the holidays in a new way, grounded, grateful, and surrounded by nature.
